Sorry – the pain in Spain is driving me insane. Well, not quite but you catch my drift. I’m trying to sort out lingering problems with a Spanish solicitor while keeping an eye on Merkel & Co, Greece and the exchange rate. The last time I checked it was 88p to the euro (and falling) but it might perk up a bit if another sticking plaster agreement is reached today. I wouldn’t mind parity but that’s cloud cuckoo land territory and I doubt anyone else would like it.

The ‘Big Society’ concept is a product of Chinese Communist thinking. Chimes perfectly with the EU’s bland & homogenous harmonisation processes.

25% of us are listed on the police national database, including 6m innocents. The State is growing under Cameron, not receding.

Obama and the Falklands – why the US administration should at least remain neutral in the face of Argentine whingeing. Fernandez-Kirchner described Cameron’s comments as an “expression of mediocrity, and almost of stupidity”. She said the British “continue to be a crude colonial power in decline”.

Obama’s Smart Grid plans. Unsurprisingly, they’re not so different from the EU’s smart grid plans.

“This is no longer your world.” Anonymous warns NATO: “Our message is simple: Do not lie to the people and you won’t have to worry about your lies being exposed. Do not make corrupt deals and you won’t have to worry about your corruption being laid bare. Do not break the rules and you won’t have to worry about getting in trouble for it. I like them already.

Senior Tories say ‘No more euro bail-outs’. See also  ‘double or quits time for the euro’ by John Redwood. The best that can be salvaged from this monetary debacle is a two-tier system, North & South.

Euro snowball teetering on the crest of the hill. It’s all downhill from here – dead parrots can’t be revived. The tragic bottom line: “Soup kitchens serve thousands of people a day. Suicide lines are deluged with calls.”

Greek govt: Help us or we’ll take you down too. And who’s buying the Spanish bonds?

Inventing wars to buy the bombs. Keeping arms sales afloat – shares must be rocketing these days.
